Time & Stress Management

My Time Management skills have improved dramatically. During my last audit project, I did not use a project schedule to manage my individual tasks. On my new audit project, I am using a project schedule. I've learned to prioritize tasks related to multiple projects by listing them on a project schedule, and determining the duration of the tasks and impact to the schedule prior to working on them. I find myself being more productive and completing tasks more timely.

I enjoyed the class! My favorite parts of the training were the relaxation, stretching, interaction and laughing.

Not sure if one particular part was a favorite. I believe I got something to use from each area.

Life (Time & Stress) Management
This Is Your Time: Effective Strategies in Managing It!

RATIONALE

Course will help people to recognize time traps and focus on establishing ways of making time more productive. Participants design their time strategy based on their own personal aspirations and desires. Their strategy is a technique of balancing their time in four life areas. The inner part of the course relies on taking time for self-critiques and reflection to determine their personal ingredients of workable values and goals to create a more productive, relaxed and happy future.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is an introductory, hands-on course on time management exploring the concept of time from the inside out. Introspection and reflection are used to create strategies to more effectively manage the time and energy in their lives. Each person applies techniques to slice their energy/time "pie" in a whole new way.

Determine your priorities, values and goals, then organize and execute around them. Focus on present uses of individual time while learning to identify common time traps. Tailor a time management strategy to meet your personal/work needs, aspirations, values, and goals as related to 4 Life Areas: Personal/family, Career/Professional, Social/Spiritual, Recreation/Fun. Apply solutions of common "time-traps" to organize and prioritize a more effective work schedule.

To assist participants in freeing up time, stress management techniques are introduced that address 4 areas: 1. Physical Exercise and Diet 2. Relaxation (guided imagery, stretching and breathing exercises) 3. Value System Identification (increase self-esteem and maintain balance) 4. Attitudes toward life (cognitive restructuring: self-talk and influences of subconscious mind).
